Announcements October 23, 2014

• There is a community service opportunity for the Harrow Kinsmen club at the Harrow arena on Friday and Saturday for the Haunted Forest. Need students to volunteer for the event with costumes or helping with make up.Please sign up in Campus Ministry, must be there for 5 pm both days. In need of many volunteers. Thank you.  Also, on Saturday Nov. 1st, Malden Zehrs is having a food drive, so they need volunteers to bag the groceries, please see Mrs. Verardi in Campus Ministry if you are interested.

• This Friday is World Polio Day.  In an effort to raise funds to help support the eradication of polio world wide, Essex Rotary has partnered with five (5) pizza places in the Town of Essex in a PIZZA FOR POLIO fundraiser.  These establishments have agreed to donate a portion of all their pizza sales to the Eradicate Polio Campaign.  If you like pizza, don't like to cook on Fridays AND you want to see polio go the way of small pox (we are very close!), order a pizza from one of the following pizza places in Essex: Naples Pizza; Armandos; Capri; Little Caesars'; or Chochi's Pizza and help Rotary "cross the finish line" to eradicate polio.

• Art club meets tonight from 2:30 until 4:00 in room 111, all are welcome.

• A reminder to Mrs. Muscedere's DYP group that our first field trip is this Monday, October 27 at the Windsor Essex Therapeutic Riding Association.  All permission forms must be handed in to room 212 by Friday for students attending this trip.  Thank you.

• Attention Wildcats! Want some free candy? Then enter the scary tweet competition! Tweet forms will be found at the doors of the cafeteria. Tweets must tell an appropriate scary tale in 140 characters or less. The winner will receive a bowl of free candy and have their tweet published in the next issue of the paper. Attention all Villy Free Press members. Just a reminder to hand in your Halloween articles this Friday.  Writier's Groiup members are reminded to submit any new work by Friday of this week.  Our next meeting is next week, Tuesday October 28.
