·         Congratulations to the swim team who had an outstanding meet yesterday.  All the swimmers did well but the following swimmers qualified for SWOSSAA in their events:  Noah Milne, Sam Card, Matthew Veselinovic, Nick Bedard, Connor Rogan, and Jonathan Graniero.  The following swimmers placed in the top three of their events: Taylor Morency, Ryan Jones, Jacob Bahry Noah Milne and Spencer Lefaive.  Lastly, a special congrats to the senior boys relay team on their exciting relay!  Well done, team! Practice continues Monday.

·         The Wildcat curlers were up against some very talented athletes last night.  The end results were one win and one loss for Villanova.  Jacob Ruthven's hammer in the 6th end was memorable as it reached a final resting place just outside of the button in the house.  His team played strong until the bitter end, but just could not outplay St.Joe's Lazer's.  Matteo Desando and Coral Root listened attentively to their 'skip' Nicholas Unis and helped their team reach a nervous and well earned victory.  Next week is the last week of season play for our B league curlers.

·         Emma Fitzgerald, Alexia Piccolo and Norman Pare  please see Ms. Bastien in the art room.

·         Today in the Villanova Cafe we are offering Chicken Burgers with Seasoned Fries $4, Southwestern Corn Chowder, Homemade Pizza and Penne $3 with Meat Sauce and Garden Salad $5.

·         Yesterday the boys' hockey team opened their season with a 2-1 victory over arch rival Belle River.  Goal scorers were Ernie Godden, and Jake Rosa.  The team takes on Kingsville today in the home opener - teachers, please release the team today at 1:45.

·         The girls hockey remained undefeated with a 3-1 win over Belle River.  Mia Dinardo opened the scoring of a Rebecca Misiasz feed and then turned the scoring over to Avery Mertz who struck for two to seal the victory.
