·       Villy weight room will be closed today Monday March 6.


·       This is a reminder that there will be a Junior Boys' Hockey tryout after school today at 3:30pm.  If you are unable to make the tryout please see Mr. Talerico sometime throughout the day.


·       A big thank you to all those who signed up to donate blood tomorrow, Tuesday March 7th.  The blood drive will be held in the LCC. Stay hydrated, get a good night's sleep, eat a good breakfast and remember to bring picture ID with you tomorrow. Student cards are acceptable.  To anyone still wishing to sign up please see Ms. Russo in the science prep room or room 224.


·       Attention all girls who plan on attending the Sr. Girls soccer tryouts tonight and Wednesday: the time of the tryouts has been moved to 2:45 until 4 o'clock. Please attempt to go straight to the Novelletto Complex immediately after school today. Don't forget to bring $5 and your own soccer ball.


·       Also, if you haven't signed up for the tryouts please see Mr. Corazza in room 218 immediately.


·       The senior concert band has a rehearsal tonight after school.

·       The choir has rehearsal Tuesday night, and the junior concert band has rehearsal Thursday night.

·       Jazz band is cancelled on Wednesday this week.


·       Attention all boys (grade 9 -12) are invited to try out for this years baseball team. Tryouts begin this week in the gym. Tuesday at 2:30pm ,Wednesday at 5:30pm ,Thursday at 2:30pm.

Please bring clean running shoes, hats and gloves.


·       Any senior science student that would like to visit the Ontario Science Centre for biology or chemistry-themed activites and presentations are asked to see Mrs. Russo or Mr. Carosella this week for information. This invitation includes those students who took science last semester.


·       Any grade 11 chemistry student, including those that took the course last semester, are invited to write the University of Waterloo's Avogadro exam. Please see Mr. Carosella for details.


·       Did you know that there are now 4 new names of elements on the periodic table. If you like science and art, here's your chance to do both. The University of Waterloo is holding a contest to design a graphic square for the new elements as part of an international periodic table project. See Mr. Carosella in room 225 or the science office for details.


·       Did you ever want to study science abroad, such as in New York, Boston, France or Spain? How about for a semester at the Ontario Science Centre or even just for a couple of weeks this summer at McMaster University? All of this is possible. See Mr. Carosella in room 225 or the science office for details about these unique study opportunites.
