·      All Sr, and Jr Football players must meet in the atrium ASAP for a very important mtg


·      The weight room will be closed tonight due to the staff meeting.  See you Wednesday.


·      Attention all badminton player practice tonight at 2:30.....if you cannot attend you need to see Mrs. LaPorta sometime today!


·      The following students are to come down and see Mr Crep immediately in the Phys.Ed office to pick up their package of forms :

·      Junior Boys Soccer players are reminded all forms and payments are due back to Mr. Crep no later than Wednesday April 26th.  Practice continues tonight at 4pm


·      Good morning! We are having a zinc initiative this week to collect used up AA batteries to help kids with zinc deficiency! Each homeroom teacher is asked to put a bin out and collect the batteries! The class with the most batteries by this Thursday will win a food prize.


·      Get your teams ready Wildcats because dodge ball is coming your way. Forms will be handed out during both lunches all week. Money and forms are due prior to MAY 3RD and the tournament will be held on May 10th.


·      Would all athletes planning to participate in WECSSAA Track and Field this year please go to room 111 for an important meeting at 12:00 today.


·      Attention Period 4 teachers: please dismiss the members of the Sr. Girls Soccer team at 3:00 today. Thank you.

·       Junior boys soccer tryouts go outside tonight and Wednesday at 4pm.  Be sure to be changed and ready to go for 4pm sharp on the side practice field.

·       Tryouts for the girls softball team will continue after school today, Tuesday and Thursday.


·       Calling all singers, dancers, musicians, actors, comedians and students with interesting talents. This years talent show will be at the end of May. Auditions will start after Easter. Start preparing your acts now. See Mrs. Brunet in the music room to schedule an audition to be apart of this great event.


·       All badminton players are reminded about the mandatory practice tonight at 2:30.  Practice will continue tonight and Wednesday at 2:30 for both junior and senior team members.  Good luck to the team who will be competing in regional`s this week on Tuesday and Thursday.  Members who have not paid for their uniform shirt are reminded to bring there money, and all badminton forms should be in to Mrs. La Porta before practice today.


·       Attention staff and students. April is Daffodil Month which is a fundraising initiative for the Canadian Cancer Society. To help support this very worthy cause, Villanova Youth Troop will be selling daffodil pins in the atrium this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday on both lunches. Please make a donation and wear your pin to show your support. To further support this cause, this Wednesday is "Light It Up Yellow Day" and all students are encouraged to wear yellow accesories with their regular school uniform.



·       Attention All Students Interested in the Armed Forces Co-op Next Year:


You must attend an important meeting with your parents tonight at the Armouries at 7:00.  Even if you have not yet registered on, you must attend tonight's meeting with your parents if you intend on doing the army co-op next year.

Today in the La Nova Villa Cafe lunch will be cancelled due to previously scheduled events, but to compensate we will have 2$ pizza on Tuesday and who knows this may become 2$ Tuesday.

Yesterday the Jr boy’s hockey team opened the Belle River tournament with a pair of victories.  They defeated St. Joes 5-1, and Kingsville 2-0.  Goal scorers were Josh Benett, Jaxon Boucer, Derek Berdusco, and Jacob Cruikshank with two each,


Junior Boys soccer tryouts will move outdoors next week on Monday and Wednesday after school at 4pm. 


Today's tryout for the girl’s softball team has been cancelled due to inclement weather. Tryouts will continue on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday next week after school. Please see Mr. Roehler or Ms. Curran if you have any questions.

Potential Graduates.  Here are 2 very important reminders for you . . .   If you wish to be recognized at graduation with a silver cord for earning 100 or more community service hours, your hours must be submitted to Student Services by Thursday, April 27, 2017.  If you fail to submit your hours by this date, you will not receive a Silver Cord.   No exceptions.   Also, graduation applications and your payment of $60.00 to cover the cost of the rental of the cap and gown are now overdue.  This was due on Monday, April 3rd.  We are extending this until this Friday, April 7th.  Please be sure to not miss the deadline as we will be ordering these items from the rental company soon.


Now that the Gibson Gallery art exhibition is over, Ms Burke's semester one artists who had item on display at the gallery can now pick them up in room 111.


Would all Youth Troop members who have not yet picked up their t-shirts please Ms. Nolan with their $15 payment in either room 221 or prep room 6. T-shirts are to be picked up by tomorrow.


Attention Junior Girls Soccer:  There will be a tryout Friday 2:30 until 4:00 after school in the Gym.  Indoor shoes only.


Fresh off their trip to OFSAA, the ladies hockey team opened the Belle River tournament in dominant fashion with a 7-0 win over Kingsville and 9-0 over Sandwich.  Claire Beaudoin gained the shutouts while eleven players netted goals.  Scoring two each were  Annalise Gignac, Kaycyn Hernandez, Rebecca Misiasz, Kim Primeau and Ally Schembri

Hey Wildcats, do you enjoy running, jogging or just walking with friends? If so, how about joining the Villanova team for a 5K Run for Rocky Finale event, this coming Sunday, April 9th along the Detroit River. If interested see Ms. Marentette for details in room 202.


Junior boys soccer tryout continue Tuesday and Thursday this week indoors at 6:30am.


There is a VILMUN SPACE conference tonight after school in the conference room; Jessica Paglia will chair. This meeting will end by 4:00; VILMUN space conference in conference room at 2:30 tonight after school.
