·       Yesterday, the junior girl’s soccer team competed in 3 games of tournament play. They won 2 of the 3 games. The team was lead by Ashley Rogers in net and received goals from many different players. Scoring for Villanova were were Brooke Gibson, Bella Siljanovski, Renee Neuts, Annalise Gignac, Kayla Macera and Jordan Mizon.  The girls will continue on to the quarterfinals next Tuesday.  Way to go girls!

·       Congratulations go out to the Sr. Girls soccer team for winning their semi-final match against Belle River yesterday by a score of 5-0. Goals were supplied by Mikayla Paesano, Isabella Kaschalk, Kristen Swiatoschik, and Sofia Bellaire with two. Alessandra Schembri posted the shutout. Please wish the girls luck as they take on St. Anne's for the WECSSAA championship tomorrow afternoon at McHugh Park.

·       Yesterday the girl’s softball team improved their record to 7 and 1 with a 7-1 victory over Cardinal Carter. Strong defense by Alyssa Matton and clutch hitting by Kim Primeval and a three run home run by Avery Mertz sealed the victory. Our next game is Thursday against Kingsville

·       Attention Grade 12 students! Senior shirts will be on SALE this Thursday, Friday and last day to order will be Tuesday the 23rd. The shirts are $20 dollars, and will be on display in the atrium on both lunches! Check out the design on twitter!

·       junior boys soccer practice is tonight at 4pm - any player unable to attend must see Mr. Crep before the end of the day.

·       Those students writing the Avogadro Chemistry Exam tomorrow are reminded to report to room 204 immediately after first lunch.

·       Attention students travelling to Stratford to see Romeo and Juliet: Tomorrow is the last day to hand in money and permission forms to Mrs.Bondy in Room 217.

·       This Friday in the LCC during both lunches, students are invited to be part of our CANADA 150 video.  Tell us why you are proud to be a Canadian and stay tuned for our video to be shown on June first.

·       Attention all Grade 12 students - Prom Tickets will go on sale May 24th, 25th and 26th.Costa Rica travellers can purchase their tickets when they get back from their trip.  To purchase a prom ticket, you must have a signed prom contract.  If you are bringing a guest from outside of Villanova, your guest will need a guest pass.  These forms are now available in the main office. Tickets are $70.00.

·       Any grade 11 physics students wishing to write the OAPT physics contest next week, please see Mrs. Frias in room 226 sometime today.

·       Attention students from Mr. O'Keefe's Civics classes:  The YPI finals are back on again in a modified format.  Please see Mr. O'Keefe for details.

  • Hey hey what can we say the La Nova Villa Cafe is open today. Jusa reminder that the cafe is only open Wednesday and Thursday of every week, not Monday, Tuesday or Friday's. Today we are offering our Homemade Pizza, Quesadillas, and Penne Al Forno with Meat Sauce.
